This time we had to wait half hour to check in and we have a 19 month old baby and they didn't consider that.

This place is great for the story/history. However, if you're looking for comfort this is not really the place.

Queen Mary is great. It is a piece of history from the 1930's. Don't expect a modern Hilton or Marriott. The furnishings are older and the walls are thin. The hotel scores very high on the cool factor. We loved staying on the grand liner. The food was good. A great experience. ...read more

Staying on the Queen Mary was a wonderful experience! Considering the cost of admission for day visitors, lodging your family in a room on the ship
and having the freedom to wander it at any hour - is a real bargain. I loved the history and character that surrounded you, a bit like lodging in a museum. Paintings, lots of exhibits, fantastic views of the city at night, history at every turn - I wish we had stayed more than one night. You do have to pay a $15 parking fee, but considering what you get, there's no need to quibble over that. I loved wandering the ship late at night, when everyone else was in bed. We sprang for the luxury stateroom, and wireless service, and it was well worth it. Overall, a delightful experience. ...read more

The all of the hotel appeared to be very clean. The public areas of the ship had attractive displays of former areas of the ship. We were there late in the evening and spent the better part of two hours wandering the corridors and exploring the ship. Our beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. All staff members were courteous and helpful. I can't wait to visit again. ...read more

The Queen Mary is an experience all to itself with a historical journey to the 1930s and ghost tours day and night all to make it more then just a hotel, but a museum where you spend the night. You can't compare it to a hotel or resort because it is a 1930s cruise ship and that should set your expectations. The standard staterooms are small but that is what you should expect on a ship. Great experience and great for the kids. ...read more
